Living a double life of two passions, between capturing photos for Musket Media by day and dancing in a secret world of performance by night, Azul Rios Chavez, 10, seeking to become a choreography star.

Rios, now in her second-year as a journalist and photographer, has been a member of the Musket magazine staff since last year. Capturing and documenting students and activities around campus, improving her photography skills.

“I need to get my education if I want to get out in the world,” Rios said.

Hoping to stay on top of her grades, get a better understanding of photography and continue writing stories for Orange Glen’s Musket Media, she has her focus on dancing and is determined to follow that passion, regardless of only knowing a few moves.

”I’ve been dancing for a couple months, dancing is where I’m at peace,” Rios said.

Between dancing and photography, dancing is something she’s really passionate about. Amongst her four siblings, Rios is hoping to seek the life of becoming a professional backup dancer and making her dreams come true of moving to Boston. Rios also wants to be more open and start strong bonds with friends to express her music interest and listen to The Marias, RNB, or even some Janet Jackson, with.
