Amber Cardenas, Assistant editor
From baking to crocheting, Amber Cardenas, 10, brings creativity to everything she does. She has been at Orange Glen High School since freshman year. She has two older sisters, making her the youngest in her family. She does also have a childhood dog named Katie who is 11 years old.
Cardenas was homeschooled all through middle school. She doesn’t regret the decision she made of going back to in person school. She has more of an opportunity to do more stuff than she did in home school. Although she’s in her second year of high school she does has some advice for incoming freshmen.
‘’Be more organized and ask for help by emailing teachers even if you think it’s less important,’’ Cardenas said.
While most students reach for their phones out of school Cardenas reaches for yarn and needles. She also enjoys baking. Cardenas has taken media arts communications freshman year however that doesn’t stop her from having goals to get better at this class one of them being she wants to get better at taking pictures and knowing how to work a camera better. Another one of her goals she has is she wants to be more confident to go to school events and take pictures. Cardenas might have two years left of high school but she does already have a goal for after high school being she wants to be a teacher, preferably elementary.
